A meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner regarding the preparations for the function to be held on 1st and 2nd November.
Deputy Commissioner Shimla Anupam Kashyap said that the function to be organised in Shimla on the occasion of 350th martyrdom day of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji will be given a grand look.
The Deputy Commissioner was presiding over a meeting here today regarding preparations for the Martyrdom Day celebrations of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The celebrations will be held on November 1 and 2, 2025, at the historic Ridge Maidan and the Padamdev Complex in Shimla.
He said that a meeting has been held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu regarding the organization of this function and he has given instructions to organize this function on a large scale and in a grand manner.
Chairing a meeting with Gurudwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha and the Shimla District Administration, the Deputy Commissioner stated that adequate transportation and accommodation arrangements would be made for those attending the event. He directed the Shimla Municipal Corporation to ensure cleanliness at the venue and the illumination of the historic buildings on the Ridge. He also directed the construction of a sturdy stage and its beautiful decoration. He also directed the provision of clean drinking water, special attention to cleanliness, and uninterrupted power supply at the venue. Furthermore, bands from the Army, Police, and Home Guard will also perform during the event.
He said that all the officers should work together in coordination regarding the event so that no problem is faced in the program.
Plan prepared for traffic, security and parking – SSP
Senior Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi said that the police has prepared its plan regarding traffic, security and parking arrangements for the function.
