Shimla, August 10: The Himachal Pradesh government has ordered the transfer and posting of 54 Himachal Pradesh Police Service (HPPS) officers with immediate effect in the public interest. The notification was issued by the Home Department on Monday.
Under the reshuffle, Dr Shiv Kumar (HPPS 2007) has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Security & Intelligence, Shimla, while Bhupinder Singh Negi has been appointed Commandant of the 1st Himachal Pradesh Armed Police Battalion, Junga. Manmohan Singh has been posted as Additional SP, Kullu, and Shiv Ram Chaudhary as Additional SP, 4th Indian Reserve Battalion, Jangalberi. Praveen Dhiman will take charge as Additional SP, CID, Mandi, while Narinder Kumar has been posted as Additional SP, Sirmaur at Nahan.
The order also includes several changes at the DSP and SDPO levels. Aman Singh has been posted as DSP (Crime), CID, Shimla; Manoj Kumar-II as DSP (HQ), Kullu; Sanjay Sharma as SDPO Jawalamukhi; Ramakant Thakur as SDPO Shri Naina Devi Ji; Vikram Chauhan as DSP (HQ), Shimla; and Siddharth Sharma as DSP (HQ), Sirmaur at Nahan. Varun Patial has been posted as SDPO Bhabanagar, while Raj Kumar has been posted as DSP (HQ), Hamirpur.
Among other postings, Nitin Chauhan will take charge as SDPO Sundernagar, Rashmi Sharma as SDPO Nadaun, Vikrant Bonsra as SDPO Manali, Rajesh Kumar as SDPO Kangra and Vijay Kumar as Additional SP, 2nd IRBn, Sakoh. Bharat Bhushan has been posted as Deputy Superintendent of Police and Chief Security Officer at Himachal Pradesh University, while Nisha Kumari has been posted as DSP (HQ), Keylong. Harish Kumar-I will take charge as SDPO Barsar.
The transfers cover postings in Shimla, Kullu, Kangra, Mandi, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Una, Sirmaur, Solan, Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti, besides specialised units including CID, Crime, Cyber Crime, SV&ACB, ANTF, SDRF and armed battalions. The order has been issued by the Himachal Pradesh Home Department and will take effect immediately.
