The Upper Primary Sports Meet was held with great excitement and participation, celebrating fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students at Auckland House School for Boys . The event was graced by Chief Guest Sumedh Sharma, Joint Director, Health Services, who in his insightful address, emphasised the value of discipline and well-being, while also paying tribute to Late Mrs. Sunita John, former Director-Principal, acknowledging her unwavering commitment and hard work.
The programme began with a ceremonial Guard of Honour followed by a disciplined March Past. Students showcased their agility and coordination through aerobics, yoga, gymnastics, and stick P.T. drill, while taekwondo demonstrations highlighted strength and self-discipline.
Track and fun events including baton relay, 100m race, ball relay, skipping race, and skating race added excitement and competitive spirit. Lighter moments came alive with musical chairs and tug of war, while the parents’ race brought enthusiasm and community participation.
Principal Reuben Tanumoy John extended his heartfelt thanks to all, with special appreciation for Founder Principal Michael A. John for his constant support and invaluable guidance.
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, recognising the efforts and achievements of the young participants. The Sports Meet successfully promoted physical fitness, confidence, and team spirit among students, making it a memorable occasion for all.
