Shimla, May 2:
Newly appointed Chairperson of the Himachal Pradesh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (HPCPCR), Anita Thakur, called on Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in Shimla on Saturday.
During the meeting, Anita Thakur apprised the Chief Minister of the commission’s priorities and key issues related to safeguarding child rights in the state. She emphasized strengthening the child protection mechanism and enhancing awareness across Himachal Pradesh.
The Chief Minister congratulated Anita Thakur on her new role and reiterated the state government’s commitment to ensuring the protection and holistic development of children. He assured full support to the commission for the effective implementation of its mandate.
Issues concerning child safety, education, and welfare were also discussed during the interaction.
