Education Minister Rohit Thakur to attend cultural evening; Shyamala Manthan, Mushaira and Zumba performances also on the schedule
One of the major attractions of the day will be the Healthy Baby Show, scheduled to be held at 10:00 AM at Rani Jhansi Park. Winners will be awarded cash prizes of ₹25,000, ₹20,000 and ₹15,000 for the first, second and third positions, respectively.
Animal lovers will also get an opportunity to showcase their pets at the “My Champion – Dog Show”, to be organized near the Police Assistance Booth. Similar cash prizes of ₹25,000, ₹20,000 and ₹15,000 have been announced for the top three winners.
The ongoing Anti-Chitta Inter-District Volleyball Championship will continue at the Municipal Corporation Ground, Sanjauli, where teams from various districts will compete from 11:00 AM onwards.
The festival will also feature Shyamala Manthan at the historic Gaiety Theatre. Participants securing first, second and third positions in Hindi and English speech competitions will receive cash prizes of ₹51,000, ₹31,000 and ₹21,000 respectively.
A Mushaira and Kavi Sammelan will be organized at Gaiety Theatre at 2:00 PM, where poets from across the state will present their literary works. Theatre enthusiasts can also enjoy the staging of the play “Man Ke Bhanwar” under the Rangmanch Utsav.
At 4:00 PM, students from various schools will perform a vibrant Zumba Dance in front of the Police Reporting Room. Later, visitors will witness a Fun Attraction Show featuring character performances, living statues and floral displays from 6:00 PM onwards.
Artists from different states participating through the North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC) will entertain visitors with traditional folk music and cultural performances throughout the evening.
The highlight of the third day will be the Himachali Cultural Evening, dedicated entirely to local artists. The event will begin at 4:00 PM on the main stage, while the grand cultural evening will be attended by Education Minister Rohit Thakur as the chief guest.
Renowned Pahari folk singer Nati King Kuldeep Sharma will be the star performer of the evening and is expected to draw large crowds with his popular Himachali folk songs.
The District Administration has also informed that the entire programme of the International Shimla Summer Festival-2026 will be streamed live on the official Facebook page of DC Shimla.
