Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh government has appointed Baldev Singh Thakur, son of Bhupinder Singh and a resident of Village Krand, P.O. Bhont, Tehsil and District Shimla, as the Government Nominee (Non-Official) on the Board of the Kailash District Cooperative Marketing and Consumer Federation Ltd.
According to a notification issued by the Cooperation Department under Section 35 of the Himachal Pradesh Cooperative Societies Act, 1968, Thakur has also been appointed as the Chairman of the Federation under Section 34(2-AA) of the Act. The appointment has come into effect immediately in public interest.
The notification was issued by Amarjeet Singh, Secretary (Cooperation), Government of Himachal Pradesh, and copies have been forwarded to the Governor’s Secretariat, the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, the Deputy Commissioner, Shimla, and other concerned authorities for necessary action.
