Bhunda Maha Yagya is being organized in Rohru subdivision of Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh after a long wait of 40 years. Lakhs of devotees are participating in this grand event being held after years.
The biggest ritual of the Maha Yagya was to be performed on Saturday, January 4, in which raft (Jedi) Surat Ram would cross a ditch several meters deep with the help of a rope. However, the ritual was postponed for some time due to the rope (Munj) breaking. It will take about 2-3 hours to fix the rope, after which raft Surat Ram will complete this challenging ritual.
Devotees are eagerly waiting to see this holy ritual, which is considered the most exciting and sacred part of Bhunda Maha Yagya. The organizers have appealed to the devotees to maintain patience and assured that the ritual will be completed smoothly soon.
