Rakesh Jamwal said that today, environmental protection has become a matter of global concern, and the active participation of every citizen is necessary in its solution. He said that plantation should not be just a symbolic program, but it has to be taken forward with continuity by making it a mass movement. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has done exemplary work at the global level in the field of climate change and environmental protection.
He said that the message of “Ek Vriksha—Maa Ke Naam” reflects not only environmental awareness but also emotional attachment. If every person plants even one tree every year and takes care of it, not only will greenery increase, but the coming generations will also get a safe life and clean environment.
