The School of Pharmacy and Emerging Sciences (SPES), Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology (BUEST) organized an educational visit on 26th April 2025 for the students of D.Pharmacy (1st and 2nd year) at Botanical Garden Chandigarh.
The Chandigarh Botanical Garden is a prominent garden located in the union territory of Chandigarh, India. Spread across an area of 80 acres, it is an essential part of Chandigarh’s commitment to creating green spaces that promote biodiversity and environmental awareness.
History
The botanical garden was established as part of a larger effort to conserve and promote biodiversity in Chandigarh. It was inaugurated in 1999 under the guidance of the Chandigarh Administration. The garden was designed to showcase the diverse flora that grows in the region, and it plays an important role in preserving the natural ecosystem while promoting sustainable horticultural practices
