Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has appealed to the people of the State to come forward to voluntarily donate blood so that there was no scarcity of blood in the blood banks.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the state health department has issued guidelines regarding organising blood donation camps in the State. The instructions have also been issued to all the Deputy Commissioners, Chief Medical Officers and in-charge of blood banks in this regard. He said that voluntary organizations would be encouraged to organise blood donation camps.
Jai Ram Thakur said that special care should be taken to avoid overcrowding during the blood donation camps and the blood donors and other people should keep appropriate distance between themselves. He said that the NGOs should invite blood donors in such a way that there was no crowding in the camps.
