Senior BJP spokesperson and former Sujanpur MLA Rajendra Rana, while attacking the Congress party sharply, said that the real face of vote theft is the Congress itself, which is today leveling baseless allegations against the BJP, whereas in reality, by misusing power, the Congress has strangled democracy in Himachal Pradesh.
In a statement issued here today, Rajendra Rana said that the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh openly misused government machinery and institutions in the Dehra by-election. Money was systematically distributed to women’s groups through the Kangra Central Cooperative Bank to ensure the victory of the Chief Minister’s wife. He said this was a direct violation of the election code of conduct and a betrayal of the public mandate.
*If this is not vote theft, then what is?*
Rana asked, “Why was this kind of money not distributed in any other assembly constituency in the state? Are there different rules for Dehra and different for the rest of the state?”
He said that Congress promised the public rosy dreams before the elections, offering 10 guarantees, but reneged on these promises as soon as it came to power. “Getting votes through false promises is also a betrayal of democracy and vote theft,” Rana said.
*Congress has a history of breaking promises and spreading confusion*
Rajendra Rana said that since independence, Congress has a history of misleading the public with catchy slogans like “Remove Poverty,” “Provide Employment,” and “Work for Every Hand,” only to forget everything after coming to power. He said that the Congress party has now been marginalized across the country, and having lost its credibility among the public, it is now unsuccessfully trying to remain relevant by making false allegations against the BJP. Rana bluntly stated that the Congress party, which is now accusing the BJP of vote theft, should first look at itself. Those whose own hands are tainted with dishonesty and deceit have no right to point fingers at others.

Calling the Congress party a symbol of political hypocrisy, Rajendra Rana said that whenever it came to power, it only exploited the Constitution and democracy, not respected them. He said that the people of Himachal Pradesh have now recognized the true face of the Congress party and will completely reject it in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Rajendra Rana stated unequivocally that Congress cannot save its political ground by fabricating false allegations against the BJP. The public is now over these tactics of broken promises and vote-buying. He said that the BJP will use all its might to expose this “conspiracy of vote theft” and expose the truth to the public.
