Shimla, August 6: The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP) organised an Admission Awareness Session in Shimla on Wednesday to familiarise aspiring students with its distance and online learning programmes.
The interactive session drew participation from students, fresh graduates and working professionals seeking flexible higher education opportunities. Dr. Harish Gautam, Assistant Director, CDOE, addressed the gathering and provided detailed information on the university’s academic programmes, eligibility criteria, admission process, fee structure, study material support and career prospects.
He also responded to participants’ queries, highlighting the advantages of pursuing higher education through distance and online modes without interrupting professional or personal commitments.
Officials said the initiative is aimed at improving awareness about accessible, affordable and learner-centric education across Himachal Pradesh. They encouraged eligible candidates to take advantage of the ongoing admission process and seek guidance from the university for programme selection and enrolment.
Admissions to the Centre for Distance and Online Education are currently open for eligible candidates.
