A 78-year-old woman, who died in Mohali on Tuesday, had coronavirus, her test reports confirmed on Friday. Punjab also reported a new coronavirus case from Sangrur district, taking the state’s tally to 132.
With the latest death, 11 people in Punjab have succumbed to the deadly disease. After her death, her samples were taken and sent to PGIMER in Chandigarh for testing as a precautionary measure.Dayalan said the total number of case in the Mohali district have mounted to 38. Out of the total, two have died, 31 cases are active, while five patients have been discharged after being cured of coronavirus.
A new case has also reported from sangaur district. Administration says we are searching his travelling history and tracing contracts.
