Anirudh Singh today attended the traditional Pati fair in Tood village, part of the Bhoont Gram Panchayat in the Kasumpti Assembly constituency, as the chief guest. Senior Kabaddi, Junior Kabaddi, and Thoda competitions were also held.
The Cabinet Minister said that Thoda is a centuries-old sport that is now on the verge of extinction. However, in many areas, the younger generation is keeping the sport alive.
A community hall will be built for Rs 3 lakh and a new Panchayat house will also be constructed.
The chief guest announced that the road leading to the village will be paved, and locals should immediately obtain a land gift deed for the road. He also announced that a kitchen will be built in the temple, for which an estimate will be prepared soon. A one-story community hall will be constructed in this panchayat at a cost of three lakh rupees.
He said that a new Panchayat Ghar is proposed to be built in this Panchayat, with FRA approval expected within two weeks. The tender for the Panchayat Ghar construction will be floated before March 2026, and the new Panchayat Ghar will be ready by December 2026.
