Arki, April 21
Following directives from the Fire Services Directorate, Shimla, the Fire Station Arki observed Fire Service Week from April 14 to April 20 across various schools in the subdivision, promoting awareness on fire safety among students.
Fire Station In-charge Ashok Kumar Dhiman informed that under the campaign, a poster-making competition was organized on the theme “Safe Schools, Safe Hospitals and a Fire-Safe Society – Together for Fire Safety.” The initiative aimed to educate young minds about preventive measures and emergency response.
Students from multiple institutions, including Blue Star Public School Arki, Himachal Academic School Banwa, DCM Public School Banwa, Government Senior Secondary School (Boys) Arki, Government Senior Secondary School (Girls) Arki, and Lakshya Public School Arki, actively participated in the competition.
Participants were evaluated and awarded first, second, and third positions. Among the achievers, Bhanvi Sharma, a student of Lakshya Public School Arki, secured the second position. She was felicitated with a prize by the Fire Station In-charge.
School Principal Veena Gupta, along with teachers Veena Panwar and Nisha Devi, congratulated Bhanvi on her accomplishment, praising her creativity and awareness towards an important social cause.
