Former BJP leader Kishan Kapoor passed away at Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh on Saturday morning.
Kapoor had been admitted to PGIMER for a brain stroke. He had been in coma for the past fortnight.
Kapoor breathed his last at about 10.30 am today. His body would be brought to Dharamsala in the evening. The last rites would be performed on Sunday.
Kapoor was a five-time MLA. He also served as a BJP MP from the Kangra parliamentary constituency from 2019 to 2024.
