Governor Kavinder Gupta presided over the Bharatiya Sanskriti Gyan Pariksha prize distribution ceremony organized by the All World Gayatri Pariwar in Shimla on Monday.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor said that Indian culture was the foundation of the nation and stressed the importance of connecting the younger generation with the country’s rich cultural heritage, traditions and moral values. He said that the Bharatiya Sanskriti Gyan Pariksha offers an effective platform for promoting cultural awareness, ethical values, patriotism and national consciousness among students.
He said that India’s ancient scriptures and knowledge traditions continue to provide guidance to building a responsible and value-based society. He stressed the need for balanced development along-with modern education, adding that cultural education was equally important for nurturing responsible citizens and dedicated nation-builders.
The Governor appreciated the efforts of the All World Gayatri Pariwar in organizing the examination and congratulated the students who excelled in the test. He also commended the efforts of teachers and parents for their role in instilling values and character among children.
Referring to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, he said that this goal could be achieved through a youth population empowered with knowledge, skills, values, and a strong sense of national commitment. He urged students to adopt the values of truth, discipline, service and integrity and contribute positively towards society and nation-building.
