Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi said that creating better infrastructure in the health sector is the priority of the state government and Rs 1 crore each is being spent per center for the purchase of modern machines and equipment in the declared 69 model health institutions. Sanjay Awasthi was today addressing the inauguration of the Urban Health and Wellness Center in Ward No. 07 of Nagar Panchayat Arki and the meeting of the Patient Welfare Committee at Civil Hospital Arki.
He inaugurated the Urban Health and Wellness Center in Ward No. 07 of Arki. This center will provide better health facilities to about 04 thousand people. The establishment of this center is important towards establishing a strong and inclusive health care system. He said that this center will provide essential health services to the people at their doorstep. A dedicated health team will be working in this centre. He said that it is necessary to expand and strengthen the primary health care system in urban areas so that patients can get prompt treatment in case of emergency.
Sanjay Awasthi said that the state government is ensuring that there is regular improvement in the health services provided to the people. He said that the state government is trying to establish an integrated public health laboratory equipped with all testing facilities in every district by the end of 2026. The state government is spending Rs 3415 crore on the health sector this year.
The MLA said that the funds of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti should be used to provide better health facilities to the people of the area and there should be complete transparency in the income and expenditure of this amount.
He said that facilities like ultra-lab will soon be made available to the people here so that the medical tests of the people can be done without any delay. He said that in order to provide qualitative health facilities to the people, necessary budget provision will be made for expansion of various facilities in Civil Hospital Arki.
Block Medical Officer Dr. Tara Chand Negi conducted the proceedings of the meeting. He presented for approval a budget of Rs 77 lakh 67 thousand for Civil Hospital Arki and Rs 31 lakh 50 thousand for Civil Hospital Kunihar for the financial year 2024-25.
Earlier, Sanjay Awasthi inspected Civil Hospital Center Arki and inquired about the well-being of the patients undergoing treatment. He obtained detailed information from the patients regarding various facilities, testing and medicine availability.
On this occasion, he listened to the problems of the area residents and gave necessary directions to the concerned departments for their immediate disposal.
