BJP state media in-charge Karan Nanda said that Himachal is continuously getting a lot of help from the Centre, but Congress ministers and leaders are only doing negative work of unnecessarily cursing the Central Government.
He said that recently the state has received Rs 50 crore 93 lakh from the Central Government as compensation for the revenue deficit, similarly, Himachal has received Rs 1050.25 crore under the scheme for special assistance to the state in capital expenditure. Still, the state government has not thanked the central government even once. If we talk, Himachal receives more than Rs 10,000 crore from the center under various schemes and the government remains silent on this issue. He said that the government has taken this vow of silence because it only wants to mislead the public, the Congress party only wants to become helpless in front of the public by shedding false tears.
Nanda said that under CAMPA fund alone, Himachal has received Rs 746.84 crore from the Central Government in two installments this year. Rs 90 crore has been received under State Disaster Mitigation Fund, Rs 85.17 crore in NDRF, Rs 378.40 crore in SDRF. An amount of Rs 100 crore has been received for conducting elections in the state, Rs 422.74 crore for rural local body grant, Rs 269.76 crore under NHM and more than Rs 6 crore for health grant.
Nanda said that the Congress government should carefully look at the amount of assistance it is getting from the Center and then make statements, not just try to hide its mismanagement.
The Central Government has released a grant of Rs 26 crore 2 lakh 49 thousand to Himachal for mid-day meal under the PM Nutrition Scheme. This is the third grant for the financial year 2024-25. Till now Rs 65.84 crore has been received from the Center under this scheme. District-wise funds will soon be allocated by the Directorate of Elementary Education. Mid-day meal is given to 3,06,639 students of 10,732 primary schools and 2,12,850 students of 4,783 secondary schools of the state. Mid-day meal facility is also being provided to 51,000 children of pre-primary classes. In this centrally sponsored scheme, Himachal gets the budget in the ratio of 90:10. The budget is also released with the same amount for the salaries of 22 thousand workers preparing lunch. This grant was not released for a long time.
