Shoolini University, in collaboration with Rajkiya Kanya MahaVidyalaya (RKMV), has secured a grant of INR 25 Lakhs from the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). The grant will be used to investigate ‘Capacity Building and Youth Perception of Agriculture Entrepreneurship in Himachal.’
This initiative aims to enhance the understanding of agricultural entrepreneurship among the youth in the region. It focuses on capacity-building initiatives that can empower aspiring Agri entrepreneurs.
The research project, spearheaded by the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), brings together a team of dedicated scholars from both institutions. Key contributors from Shoolini University includes Prof Narinder Verma Dean Academics, Shoolini University, Dr Chander Mohan, Associate Professor and Dr Abhilasha Chauhan, Assistant Professor at the School of Business Management, Shoolini University.
While Rajkiya Kanya MahaVidyalaya (RKMV) Shimla is represented by Prof. Anurita Saxena, Associate Professor at the Government College for Girls. Additionally, Dr. Munish Sharma and Dr. Reenu Devi, both Assistant Professors from RKMV Shimla, are also key contributors to the research project.
This research aligns with broader efforts to promote entrepreneurship in Himachal Pradesh by assessing existing government initiatives, such as the Chief Minister’s startup scheme. By evaluating these programmes, the project aims to highlight their effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
