Baddi (Himachal Pradesh): IEC University Baddi, located at Atal Shiksha Kunj, organised a free health check-up camp for its teaching and non-teaching staff on campus in collaboration with Metaphase Diagnostic Centre New Chandigarh.
The camp aimed at promoting preventive healthcare, raising awareness about lifestyle diseases, and ensuring early detection of potential health issues among employees.
An expert medical team from Metaphase Diagnostic Centre, including Dr. Vikas Dubey along with healthcare professionals Harmeet Singh, Amit, and Firoz Alam, conducted the screenings and consultations.
A range of diagnostic tests were carried out, including Complete Blood Count (CBC), lipid profile, Vitamin B12 levels, Liver Function Test (LFT), Renal Function Test (RFT), and blood sugar analysis. Participants also underwent general physical examinations and received one-on-one consultations.
Doctors provided personalised advice to employees based on their reports, focusing on balanced diet, regular exercise, and lifestyle modifications to prevent chronic diseases.
On the occasion, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was also formalised between the university and the diagnostic centre to strengthen future healthcare collaborations.
The university administration appreciated the initiative, stating that employee well-being remains a top priority and such camps contribute significantly towards maintaining a healthy and productive work environment.
