A blood donation camp was organised at IEC University, Atal Shiksha Kunj in Solan district, with active participation from students, faculty and staff. The camp was conducted in collaboration with the Kavad Mahasangh Charitable Trust, Panchkula.
Addressing the gathering, organisers highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation, stating that one unit of blood can help save up to three lives. Students were encouraged to come forward and contribute to such noble causes.
A team of doctors from Government Medical College, Sector 32, Chandigarh, carried out the medical procedures and ensured all safety protocols. Prior to donation, each participant underwent a health screening, including hemoglobin and blood pressure checks.
Around 50 units of blood were collected during the camp. The event was coordinated by the Physiotherapy Department of IEC University.
The university administration expressed gratitude to all donors and organisers for making the initiative successful. It reiterated that IEC University remains committed not only to academic excellence but also to promoting social responsibility among its students.
