Baddi, September 7 2026: IEC University at Atal Shiksha Kunj, Kalu Jhanda, celebrated Teachers’ Day with enthusiasm and cultural fervour, honouring the contribution of teachers and remembering former President of India and renowned educationist Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his birth anniversary.
Students from various departments came together to express their gratitude to their teachers and participated in a series of programmes organised on the university campus.
The celebrations were inaugurated by University Registrar Dr Pralhad Gupta. The ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by senior faculty members, followed by a floral tribute to Dr Radhakrishnan.
A colourful cultural programme was presented by the students, featuring classical dance, music and performances expressing gratitude towards teachers. Students also staged skits highlighting the importance of teachers and their role in shaping students’ lives.
As part of the celebrations, students honoured their teachers by presenting them with mementoes and seeking their blessings.
Addressing the gathering, Registrar Dr Pralhad Gupta said a teacher’s responsibility goes beyond imparting academic knowledge. Teachers play an important role in shaping the character of students and helping them become responsible citizens.
He expressed gratitude to the university’s professors and faculty members for their continued guidance, dedication and contribution towards the academic and personal development of students.
