A young man died after being shot in Seraj of Mandi district. This incident has come to light in Tikkar village of Parwada Panchayat in Seraj. The death of the young man created a sensation in the entire area. After the death of the young man on the New Year, there is mourning in the entire village. The police have registered a case and started investigating.
In fact, a young man who went hunting on the night of December 31 in Parwada Panchayat of the Seraj Assembly constituency got hit by a bullet and died. On Wednesday morning, DSP Headquarters Dinesh Kumar reached the spot with his team.
Parwada Panchayat Pradhan Jitendra Singh said, ‘On the night of December 31, three youths of Tikkar village, Chetram, Yashwant, and Hemraj, had gone to the forest to hunt, in which Chetram became a victim of a bullet. As soon as Chetram was shot, his friends tried to take him to Civil Hospital Bagsyad, but he died before reaching the hospital.’
Giving information about the case, police station in-charge Gohar Lal Singh said, ‘Three youths had gone towards the forest, and when they were coming back home, Hemraj, the youth walking behind, slipped, and Chetram, who was walking ahead, was shot on the backside of the knee, after which he was being brought to the hospital, Chetram died before reaching the hospital. The body has been sent to Medical College Nair Chowk for post-mortem. Every aspect is being investigated thoroughly.’
SP Mandi Sakshi Verma said, ‘Police have initially registered a case against Hemraj under section 125, 106 of BNS and section 25-54-59 of the Arms Act and have started further action.’
