JUIT Organized Entrepreneurship Development Programme

A three-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme was organised from 5th to 7th October 2026 by the Technology Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (TIEDC), Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Solan, in association with the Directorate of Industries, Shimla, with NITCON Ltd. (Government PSU) as the Implementation Authority under the Government of India’s Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) initiative.

The programme focused on developing an entrepreneurial mindset and providing participants with practical knowledge of business idea identification, market research, government schemes, MSME registration, Business Model Canvas, business planning, IPR, funding, branding and business pitching.

During the inaugural ceremony, Prof. R. K. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, JUIT, encouraged participants to develop an innovative outlook and transform ideas into viable entrepreneurial ventures.

The valedictory session was addressed by Mr. Vinay Kumar Verma, Manager, District Industries Centre (DIC), Solan, who briefed participants on government support mechanisms, MSME initiatives and opportunities for entrepreneurs.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Ashish Kumar, Chairman, TIEDC and Head, Department of Civil Engineering, JUIT, who expressed gratitude to all collaborating organisations, resource persons, faculty members and participants.

The programme provided valuable exposure to the entrepreneurial ecosystem and motivated participants to pursue innovation, startups and entrepreneurship as viable career pathways.
