Monsoon is expected to become active again in Himachal Pradesh from tonight. The Meteorological Center Shimla has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in many areas of the state from 11 to 13 July. Monsoon rain is forecast to continue in some parts of the state till 17 July. Today the weather remains bad in the capital Shimla and surrounding areas.
On the other hand, till 10:00 am on Thursday, vehicular movement remained suspended on 12 roads in the state. Property worth Rs 17,199 lakh has been damaged during the monsoon season. In this, the Public Works Department has suffered a loss of Rs 10,177 lakh and the Water Power Department has suffered a loss of Rs 6,733 lakh.
