Employees on indefinite strike
Contract Union President Virendra Lal said that these 132 outsourced employees had been continuously providing their services for the last 4 years. They provided important services during the Covid period, but now they have been shown the way out by issuing an order. He said that the sanitation workers, ward attendants, and data entry operators are on strike, but services are continuing in the emergency. He said that a meeting was held with the IGMC administration, but no result has been achieved. The strike will continue until the removed workers are reinstated.
On the other hand, the female outsourced employees who were fired from IGMC say that more than 70 percent of the employees here are women. Their livelihood depends on this job. The upbringing of children and family is done from here, but now they are facing difficulties for which the IGMC administration is responsible.
