Former BJP state president and MP Suresh Kashyap said that the state government is not concerned about the people of Himachal, there is no value for the lives of the people from their side. After the death of a cancer patient of Indira Gandhi Medical College, the matter has reached the CM Helpline. Due to which the health services in Himachal Pradesh were exposed. In the complaint given to the CM Helpline, the family members have alleged that the patient died due to not receiving the injection. This is a matter of shame for the state government, the previous BJP government had started many such schemes which greatly benefited the people. A person could get his treatment done even if he did not have even a single rupee in his pocket, but perhaps this government did not like those public welfare schemes.
He said the cancer patient was registered under the Himcare scheme but the patient did not receive the injection at the hospital. The patient died last month. The patient’s daughter Jhanvi Sharma has complained in this regard on the CM helpline. It is alleged that despite being registered in Himcare and having money in it, his father Devraj did not get the injection. Jhanvi has appealed to the Chief Minister on the CM Helpline to take action against the officials responsible for this negligence. BJP is with the family of the deceased, the government should take strictest action against the hospital administration.
The family members of the deceased have alleged that their father was asked by the IGMC doctor to get an essential injection done on November 13. Even after repeated calls to the IGMC management, the injection was not received. The cost of the injection was around Rs 50 thousand. The financial condition of the family is not good enough to buy the injection. So his father died on 3 December.
He said that angiography of patients has stopped at Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMC). Because of this, patients coming to the cardiology department for treatment are facing a lot of trouble. Under Him Care and Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Yojana, patients are treated for free up to Rs 5 lakh. But due to non-payment of pending bills of these schemes to the operators of medical stores, the operators have now refused to supply the goods. For this reason angiography has stopped in IGMC. The doctors of these patients had prepared cases but due to the closure of angiography, their cases have now had to be cancelled
