A meeting was held here today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Shimla Anupam Kashyap regarding the organization of National Resolution Day and National Unity Day .
The Deputy Commissioner stated that National Resolve Day and National Unity Day will be celebrated at the historic Ridge Ground on October 31, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. He stated that National Resolve Day is celebrated on the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. On this occasion, dignitaries will garland and offer floral tributes to her statue. The public will then be administered the National Resolve Day oath. Additionally, National Unity Day is celebrated as the birth anniversary of the late Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. During this time, the National Unity Day oath will also be administered at the Ridge Ground.
The Deputy Commissioner said that during this period, bhajans and patriotic songs will be presented by the Information and Public Relations Department.
He instructed the concerned officials to complete all the preparations for the event in time.

Additional District Magistrate Law and Order Pankaj Sharma, Additional District Magistrate Protocol Jyoti Rana, Joint Commissioner Municipal Corporation Shimla Dr Bhuvan Sharma, Assistant Commissioner Devi Chand Thakur, District Language Officer Anil Harta and officers of various departments were present in the meeting.
