The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) in collaboration with the Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee (MCPC) of the Hon’ble Supreme Court launched a 90-day Mediation ‘For the Nation’ campaign. Giving this information, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Kinnaur informed that this campaign has started from July 1, 2025 and it will run till September 30, 2025.
He informed that this special nationwide mediation campaign is being organised with the objective of promoting amicable settlement of eligible cases pending in courts ranging from taluka courts to high courts and to popularise mediation as an accessible, cost-effective and collaborative dispute resolution method across the country. The eligible cases for mediation include matrimonial disputes, motor vehicle accident claims, cases related to domestic violence, cheque bounce cases (Section 138, NI Act), commercial disputes, service disputes, compoundable criminal cases, consumer disputes, debt recovery cases, suits related to partition and eviction, cases related to land acquisition and other eligible civil cases.
He informed that if any person under their respective judicial area wants to get the above mentioned cases resolved, then during this period they can contact the Judicial Court Complex, Rampur Bushahr, Judicial Court Complex, Reckong Peo, District Kinnaur, Judicial Court Complex, Ani, District Kullu or the office of District Legal Services Authority, Reckong Peo, District Kinnaur for hearing of their case.
