Baijnath police in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh have arrested an MBBS doctor from Moga, Punjab, for supplying chitta (heroin) in Kangra district. The 23-year-old accused youth has studied MBBS in Himachal itself. According to the information, the youth had completed his doctor’s degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Chamba, in Himachal Pradesh in the year 2024 and was currently serving in Punjab.
According to the information, recently the police arrested a Nepali with 6 grams of chitta in Baijnath on Friday, February 14. During the interrogation of this accused, it was revealed that a rickshaw driver from Moga had supplied this narcotic substance to him. A police team was sent from Baijnath to Moga, where the rickshaw driver was arrested. Then on further investigation, it was found that a doctor from Moga is the main supplier of chitta and the three accused have been arrested by Baijnath police. DSP Baijnath Anil Sharma has confirmed the case. He said that one person has been arrested. A case has been registered against him under the NDPS Act, and an investigation has been started.
