The written examination for police recruitment in Himachal Pradesh is under question. A petition related to this matter was heard in the court of Justice Ajay Mohan Goyal in Himachal High Court. The court has issued notices to the Himachal Government, Himachal Public Service Commission and Kangra Police. Everyone has been asked to file a reply within four weeks. Allegations of irregularities in police recruitment have been made in the petition.
Himachal Public Service Commission had conducted a written examination for police recruitment on June 15, which was held at 18 centers across the state.
Advocate Vinay Sharma said that the Public Service Commission had received about 1 thousand 600 complaints of cheating in the examination centers. The petition has demanded cancellation of the examination. In the court, the petitioner also cited the case of removal of 17 thousand teachers in West Bengal for cheating. The petitioner raised questions on the recruitment process and has demanded a CBI inquiry. Now the next hearing in this case will be after four weeks.
