The exercise to set up its own printing press in Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) has started once again. Earlier also, the university administration has worked on the plan to set up a printing press many times, but this plan could not be implemented. Now the university administration has started exploring possibilities to reduce the increasing expenses of the university and to gather additional resources. For this, a meeting of the Resource Mobilization Committee was held on Thursday in Himachal Pradesh University under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof. SP Bansal. In the meeting, a plan was prepared to gather additional resources for the university. At present, Himachal Pradesh University has to spend crores of rupees on printing work. Due to not having its own printing press, Himachal Pradesh University has to get various printing-related works done from outside. When its own printing press is set up, it will be a one-time investment. This will reduce the expenditure on printing considerably.
