Nahan, August 21: Revenue Lok Adalats organised across Sirmaur district have helped expedite the disposal of pending revenue matters, with 6,107 mutation cases, 22 partition cases and 102 demarcation cases settled between July 2025 and July 2026.
The Revenue Lok Adalats are being organised across Himachal Pradesh to ensure the speedy and effective disposal of revenue-related matters and reduce inconvenience for the public.
According to district-wise data, the highest number of mutation cases was settled in Paonta Sahib, with 1,656 cases, followed by Nahan with 776 cases. Rajgarh settled 521 cases, Pachhad 539, Majra 447, Dadahu 434, Shillai 315, Naura 309, Pazhota 247, Nahan 776 and other tehsil and sub-tehsil areas also recorded significant disposal of cases.
The district administration said the initiative has helped speed up the disposal of long-pending revenue cases while reducing unnecessary delays and repeated visits to government offices.
Revenue officials have been directed to ensure the time-bound disposal of pending cases through the Lok Adalats. The initiative is aimed at providing faster, transparent and accessible revenue services to the public.
Beneficiaries Welcome the Initiative
Several beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Himachal Pradesh Government after receiving speedy resolutions to their revenue-related matters.
Dinesh, a resident of Talon village in Nahan tehsil, said he had approached the Revenue Lok Adalat for a land mutation matter. He said organising the Lok Adalats during the last two days of every month had made it easier for people to get their revenue-related issues resolved.
Vinay Kumar, a resident of Nahan, also welcomed the initiative, saying the regular Revenue Lok Adalats had made the resolution of revenue matters more convenient for the public.
Pawan Kumar of Katla village under Patwar Circle Jamtah said he had approached the Nahan Revenue Lok Adalat for the mutation of inherited property. He said his case was resolved quickly through the initiative.
Another Nahan resident, Manoj, said the Revenue Lok Adalats were providing significant relief to the public by ensuring the speedy disposal of long-pending revenue matters.
The Revenue Lok Adalat initiative is playing an important role in making revenue services more speedy, transparent and accessible across Sirmaur district.
