Kullu, October 2 : A meeting of the ASL was held on Friday in the auditorium of the Wildlife Information Center in Manali to discuss security and other arrangements for President Smt. Draupadi Murmu’s proposed visit to Kullu-Manali. The meeting was chaired by Abhishek S., a senior IB officer and Superintendent of Police, Kullu.
The meeting was attended by senior officers of Intelligence Bureau, District Administration Kullu, Border Roads Organisation (BRO/GREF), DRDO, CISF, Airport Authority, BSNL, Police Department, Fire Department, Health Department, Forest Department, Public Works Department, Electricity Department, Jal Shakti Department, HPTDC, Tourism Department, Abhimas and District Administration Lahaul-Spiti.
The meeting reviewed the security arrangements for the President’s proposed visit to Manali and the Atal Tunnel from October 6 to 8. The meeting also sought information from officials about the preparations and arrangements in their departments and issued necessary guidelines.
In the meeting, security arrangements, traffic management, entry and exit arrangements, parking, communication facilities, electricity and water supply, fire and emergency services, health facilities and other necessary arrangements on the President’s scheduled programmes and travel routes were discussed.
