Shimla: To strengthen the city’s sanitation management system, Mayor Surender Chauhan on Wednesday briefed SJPNL employees about the functioning and use of the cleanliness app, while issuing key operational guidelines for its effective implementation.
He urged employees to ensure maximum and proper use of technology to make sanitation services more efficient and responsive. The Mayor emphasized that timely and effective redressal of complaints registered by citizens should remain the administration’s top priority to ensure prompt public services.
Mayor Chauhan said the app would help improve transparency, monitoring, and grievance resolution related to sanitation services across the city. He also directed employees to ensure swift action on complaints received through the platform.
During the session, CHO Dr. Anjali Chauhan said the cleanliness app is not merely a technological tool but also acts as a strong bridge between citizens and the administration. She stated that quick resolution of complaints through the app would not only improve sanitation services but also strengthen the city’s monitoring and management system.
She added that the initiative would play an important role in achieving the goal of making Shimla a cleaner, better organised, and more beautiful city. Employees were also urged to work with responsibility, dedication, and active participation.
