Strap: Two-day international media fest to feature over 14 competitions, cultural activities and cross-border exchange
The School of Media and Communications, Shoolini University, will host the fourth edition of Marvel Shoolini International Media Fest from September 29 to 30, bringing together more than 200 young media enthusiasts from India and neighbouring countries for two days of competitions, creative activities, cultural exchange and learning.

The international media fest will witness participation from universities and institutions across India, Bangladesh, Nepal and other countries, along with students from leading national universities. The event will provide a common platform for aspiring journalists, filmmakers, photographers, content creators, performers and communication enthusiasts to showcase their skills and interact with peers from different cultural and academic backgrounds.
More than 14 competitions and activities will be organised during the fest, covering diverse areas of media and communication, including news anchoring, photography, short films, reel making, declamation, stand-up comedy and other creative disciplines. The competitions will give students an opportunity to move beyond classroom learning and demonstrate their practical, creative and communication abilities.
The fest will also offer students opportunities to interact with media professionals, faculty members, and fellow participants, encouraging the exchange of ideas on journalism, filmmaking, digital communication, photography, and emerging trends in the media industry. The fest, which began in 2023 with students from 10 institutions, will enter its fourth edition with a significantly expanded international presence.
Prof Nishtha Shukla Anand, Dean, Faculty of Media and Liberal Arts, Fest Director, Trustee and Director of Marketing and Communications, Shoolini University, said the university would look forward to welcoming participants from different countries and institutions. She said the Media fest would provide an environment where creativity, learning and cultural exchange would come together, allowing young media enthusiasts to learn from one another while experiencing the diversity of perspectives represented by the participating institutions.
Prof Nishtha further added that the festival will also include opportunities for visiting participants to experience campus life and the cultural environment of Himachal Pradesh. The programme will encourage interaction with the university community and provide participants with an opportunity to explore the campus and nearby surroundings
