Budget to be provided for road repair, says Sunil Sharma Bittu
Hamirpur, August 21: Solar lights will be installed in Kaihadru village, while the height of the electricity line passing over Chogla Ground will be increased to prevent any possible accidents, Sunil Sharma Bittu said during his visit to the village on Friday.
Kaihadru village falls under Gram Panchayat Dharog in Hamirpur district.
During the visit, Bittu said immediate steps would be taken to address the problems and demands raised by the residents. He said a road would be provided from the village ravine to Rita Devi’s house and a budget provision would be made for the repair of the existing road.
He also directed officials of the Electricity Board on the spot to take immediate steps to increase the height of the electricity poles and lines passing over Chogla Ground.
“The height of the power line needs to be increased to ensure that there is no possibility of any accident,” he said. Bittu said he was regularly visiting rural areas of Hamirpur to understand the problems faced by people and take steps for their early resolution.
Residents of the village raised several local issues and demands during the visit.
Panchayat Pradhan Anu Dogra, Neeraj Thakur, panchayat members Seema Kumari and Meenakshi Sharma, Mahila Mandal Pradhan Saroj Kumari, former Pradhan Pawan Thakur, Captain Vikram, Rita Devi, Captain Deepak, Beni Prasad, Madan Lal, Tilak Raj, Ravi Kumar, Sunil Kumar and Rajkumar, among others, were present on the occasion.
