In a significant initiative reflecting its unwavering focus on gender inclusivity and employee development, THDC India Limited conducted a four-day workshop titled “Empowering Women Employees through Holistic and Inclusive Management” from 26th to 29th June 2025 at Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.
R. K. Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director, THDCIL, highlighting the significance of women employees’ welfare initiatives, stated that at THDC India Limited, women empowerment is not just a workplace commitment, it is a deeply embedded value that we actively nurture through inclusive policies and transformative programs. Whether through leadership roles, skill-building initiatives, or outbound training, we believe in creating opportunities that unlock the full potential of our women employees. This workshop in Dharamshala is yet another step towards building a more empathetic, balanced, and future-ready organization.
The inaugural session was graced by Shri Shallinder Singh, Director (Personnel), THDCIL, who highlighted the strategic importance of such initiatives. In his address, Sh. Singh stated that at THDCIL, we recognize that empowering women is fundamental to organizational excellence and cultural integrity. This program reaffirms our commitment to developing leadership pathways that are inclusive, supportive, and forward-looking. The serene and spiritually vibrant setting of Dharamshala was chosen to provide a space of reflection, renewal, and strength-building for the participants. The workshop was thoughtfully designed to integrate leadership development, emotional resilience, physical wellness, and experiential learning. Sh. Singh stated that over the years, THDCIL has been organizing a series of initiatives towards women empowerment, in sports, culture, HRD and other State-of-the-Art technological interventions, and that such initiatives would prepare our women colleagues to be equipped to face the transformational challenges in both professional and personal life.
The training module not only focused on managerial and interpersonal competencies but also explored wellness-centric dimensions like stress management, emotional intelligence, and work-life harmony, with an emphasis on continued dialogue, community building, and the pivotal role of women as instruments of change in both organizational and societal spheres.
Dr. A. N. Tripathy, CGM (HR&A), THDCIL, along with distinguished faculties of the workshop Dr. Ritu Gaur (Director, Saksham Social Welfare Society), Dr. Gunjan Malhotra (Renowned Gynaecologist and Former Mrs. India), Dr. Arti Kashyap (Nutritionist), and THDCIL women officers from different Projects/Offices were associated in the inaugural session.
