Chamba, August 22: District Magistrate Mukesh Repswal has ordered a complete ban on the movement of all types of vehicles on the Mohalla Pakkatala-Balu link road in Chamba district.
The restriction has been imposed in the interest of public safety following damage to a portion of the road near the Government Secondary School on the Pakkatala-Balu link road.
The order has been issued under Section 115 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. Vehicular movement on the affected stretch will remain suspended until the necessary repair and restoration work is completed and the Public Works Department declares the road safe for traffic.
The Superintendent of Police and other concerned officials have been directed to make appropriate arrangements for traffic management and barricading and to ensure strict compliance with the order.
