Cases of rape and molestation are increasing in Himachal Pradesh. The latest case has come to light under Rampur police station. A minor has been raped here. The victim is a 15-year-old school student. The rape of the minor came to light when the victim started falling ill, and when her health deteriorated, the family took her to the hospital.
When the family got the victim examined in the hospital, it was revealed that the minor is 9 months pregnant. Knowing this, the family was shocked. The family questioned the victim about this, but she does not know who raped her. Rampur police have registered a case under the rape and POCSO Act on the complaint of the victim’s mother. The accused is now being traced by the police. The victim’s mother told the police that her 15-year-old daughter was raped by an unknown person 9 months ago, and now she is 9 months pregnant.
The victim’s mother told the police in her complaint that her daughter was having stomach pain. Due to which she was taken to Khaneri Hospital in Rampur. When the doctors examined and got the minor’s ultrasound done, the report revealed that her daughter was 9 months pregnant. Hearing this, the whole family was shocked. After which the victim’s mother immediately investigated the matter at the police station.
DSP Rampur Naresh Sharma said, “The victim’s mother has lodged a complaint of rape of her daughter with the police. The police are taking further action by registering a case in the matter. The police have registered a case against the unknown accused under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 6 of the POCSO Act. In this connection, the police have started searching for the accused. At the same time, the victim is undergoing treatment in the hospital, and her condition is normal.”
