The tourism business in Himachal Pradesh is going to pick up pace once again on this Valentine’s Day. To attract couples, the State Tourism Development Corporation and the private tourism businessmen of the state have released attractive packages. Every year, many tourists reach the tourist places of Himachal to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
This year, along with Valentine’s Day, snow in Kullu-Manali, Shimla’s Narkanda, and Kinnaur is also becoming a center of attraction for tourists. The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation has announced a 20% discount on food and drinks for couples on Valentine’s Day on February 14 in its hotels, restaurants, and cafés. Not only this, those staying in hotels will also get an additional 10% discount.
The private tourism businessmen of the state have also released special offers for tourists. Along with a 30% discount on room booking, hotel operators are offering free sightseeing and candlelight dinner to couples. Travel agents are offering room flower decoration on booking of Valentine packages. Apart from this, free sightseeing and free pick-up and drop-off are also being given. Shimla, Kufri, Narkanda, Kullu-Manali, Kasauli, and Chail are in the highest demand for Valentine’s Day. Tourists will also visit Atal Tunnel Rohtang, Narkanda, and Sangla of Kinnaur to enjoy the snow.
Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Managing Director of HPTDC, says all the units of the Tourism Corporation will give a 20% discount on food and drinks to couples on Valentine’s Day. A 10% additional discount will be given on the stay. A special offer has been issued to attract tourists.
Gajendra Singh Thakur, President, All Himachal Hotel and Restaurants Association, said, To attract tourists on Valentine’s Day, private hotel operators are offering candlelight dinners with a 30 to 40% discount on room bookings. Snowfall is also attracting tourists.
Manu Sood, General Secretary, Travel Agents Association, said that flower room decoration is being given free on Valentine package bookings. Free sightseeing along with free pick-up and drop-off is also being offered on package bookings. Numerous tourists are expected to reach Himachal on Valentine’s.
