The Red Ribbon Club of Abhilashi University, in collaboration with the State Task Force, organized a program on the National TB Elimination Mission. Dr. Bandana, Nodal Officer, Red Ribbon Club, along with other dignitaries, welcomed the Chief Guest, Dr. Ashok Kumar Bhardwaj, Chairman, National Task Force, and Dr. Arindam Roy, Guest of Honour, District Programme Officer. In his welcome address, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. H.K. Choudhary said that the event is an important step towards an innovation-based effort in achieving the goal of TB elimination. The event brought together pioneers of TB research and technology to transform ideas into impactful solutions. Guest speaker Dr. Ashok Kumar Bhardwaj, Chairman, National Task Force, NTEP, addressed the gathering and highlighted India’s remarkable progress in TB control and the important role of innovation in this mission. Further, he said that the program is steadily moving towards the goal of eliminating TB by 2025. In his concluding remarks, he encouraged all innovators to continue their efforts to develop useful tools for introduction in the program and help achieve the goal of TB elimination.
Dr. Arindam Roy, District Programme Officer, underscored the role of innovations in TB elimination, saying that innovations are crucial for TB elimination, offering faster and more accurate diagnosis, better treatment regimes, and better prevention strategies. The use of digital health, artificial intelligence, data collection, and health promotion will also play a vital role in reaching out to millions of people suffering from TB who remain undiagnosed and hence untreated every year. In his address, he said that the event is an important step towards an innovation-based effort to achieve the goal of TB elimination. Dr. Ankita Chaudhary, Coordinator of Red Ribbon Club; Dr. Rahul, Vice Principal of Ayurvedic Shodh Sansthan; and Dr. Devendra Sharma, DSW of Abhilashi University, thanked the members, volunteers, and all present for their valuable contribution in making the event a success.
On this occasion, Chancellor of Abhilashi University Dr. R.K. Abhilashi, Pro Chancellor Dr. L.K. Abhilashi, Vice Chancellor Professor H.K. Chaudhary, Registrar Dr. Kapil Kapoor, Chairperson of Genius Education Society Dr. Narbada Abhilashi, Vice Chairperson of Abhilashi Education Society Dr. Promila Abhilashi, and Secretary Narendra Kumar congratulated the Red Ribbon Club of Abhilashi University for their efforts in organizing this program.
