Chandigarh: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has retained the president’s post in the Punjab University students’ body elections, with its candidate Ankit Badan securing victory, according to the information published by SSS News.
The result marks the organisation’s second consecutive win for the president’s post at the university. Badan’s victory has been described by the organisation as a significant boost for its campus unit and its student outreach.
ABVP’s north regional organisation secretary Gaurav Agri played a key role in guiding the campaign, according to the report. Agri, who has previously served as president of Himachal Pradesh University and held responsibilities in the Himachal Pradesh unit of ABVP, was credited with providing strategic direction to the campaign.
The organisation said the victory reflected the support of students as well as the efforts of its workers on the ground.
