Shimla, May 30: Auckland House School came alive with colour, creativity and celebration as it hosted its much-awaited Annual Carnival, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, parents, alumni and visitors from across the city.
The vibrant event was inaugurated by Sachin Sharma, who attended as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he praised the school for creating opportunities that extend beyond classroom learning and for fostering creativity, confidence and social responsibility among students. He also appreciated the institution’s commitment to preserving its rich traditions while preparing students for future challenges.
The school campus was transformed into a festive venue featuring an array of attractions, including food stalls, games, art exhibitions and entertainment zones. Visitors explored mehndi and tattoo corners, handcrafted products, student-made artworks and souvenirs, while interactive activities and a lively jam session kept the festive spirit alive throughout the day.
The carnival witnessed participation from not only the Auckland House community but also alumni and students from various schools across Shimla, making the event a vibrant platform for interaction, networking and community bonding.
Principal Smaraki Smantaray said the Annual Carnival reflects the school’s vision of holistic education by promoting creativity, teamwork, entrepreneurship and community engagement. She noted that such events provide students with valuable real-world experiences, helping them develop leadership qualities and practical skills beyond academics.
