The BJP state president election will be held in the last week of January. For this, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has been appointed as an election officer by the BJP. The reason for the delay in the selection of the state president is that the election process of more than 25 Mandals and the Una District President is not completed. Selection of remaining Mandals and the Una District President is likely to be completed between 15 and 18 January. That is, till the Mandals and Una District President are not selected, there will be a delay in the state president selection process.
Like Himachal Pradesh, the process of organizational election of the BJP is going on in other states and union territories of the country. After completion of this process and selection of more than half of the state presidents, the national president will be selected. At present, Jagat Prakash Nadda is holding the post of National President of the BJP. He currently holds important ministries like health and family welfare along with chemicals and fertilizers at the center.
The BJP high command has appointed Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh as the election officer for the selection of the state president. He has started taking feedback in this regard. It is believed that Dr. Jitendra Singh will inform the party high command about the report received from the state. Only after this will the high command put its final seal on the state president. Apart from the current state president, Dr. Rajiv Bindal, the names of Satpal Singh Satti, Dr. Sikandar Kumar, Indu Goswami, Dr. Rajiv Bhardwaj, Vipin Singh Parmar, Bikram Thakur, Trilok Jamwal, Pawan Kajal, and Trilok Kapoor are being considered for the post of president.
