The meeting of the Board of Directors of Himachal Path Parivahan Nigam has now been scheduled for January 15. This meeting will be held in Shimla and many important decisions will be taken in it. HRTC has to purchase 100 mini and midi buses, which will be 18 seater. A tender was floated for this, but the companies had demanded some changes in the tender. HRTC has also considered it necessary, but its approval will be received only from the Board of Directors. In such a situation, the matter of some changes in this tender will be brought in the meeting of the Board of Directors. After this, a fresh tender will be floated for the purchase of Tempo Traveller and they will be purchased. By next month, HRTC will start getting their supply.
Apart from this, there is also a matter of purchase of 250 diesel buses apart from Volvo and electric buses, in which approval has to be taken from the Board of Directors of HRTC. After getting its formal approval, the work order will be issued. Let us tell you that the HRTC Board of Directors meeting will be chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri. Bus depots will also be discussed in the BOD meeting
The bus depot management will also meet in the meeting and matters related to their bus depots will also be placed here. There is a case of using old bus depots at some places, in which a committee was formed under the chairmanship of HRTC Executive Director Murari Lal. This committee has visited some places, which will present its report in the meeting of the Board of Directors. Here it will be decided what to do with the old depots at the places where new bus depots have been constructed. There is a case of using them as parking. Along with this, HRTC has to take over Kangra Bus Depot and McLeodganj Bus Depot, whose arbitration case is going on.
The government is ready to give 25 crores to the concerned company. Now in the meeting of the Board of Directors, it will also be decided what to do next. Along with this, new bus stations have been built at some places and time has to be taken from the CM for the inauguration of those bus stations. There will also be a discussion on when and how these bus stations will be operated. Right now HRTC MD Rohan Chand is also in Delhi and he will also return to Shimla on Thursday.
