Emphasis on devotee convenience, smooth darshan and traffic management
Chintpurni (Una), August 17: Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal on Monday reviewed arrangements for the ongoing Shravan Ashtami fair at Mata Shri Chintpurni, with a focus on ensuring the safety and convenience of devotees.
The review meeting was held at Mai Das Sadan, where the Deputy Commissioner took detailed feedback from officials on arrangements made for the smooth conduct of the fair and issued directions for further improvement.
After the meeting, Lal inspected the Mata Shri Chintpurni Temple complex and reviewed arrangements at Gate No. 1 and Gate No. 2. He directed officials to ensure adequate police deployment at both gates so that devotees could have smooth and orderly darshan through the designated queue system.
“The safety of devotees is the top priority and no negligence will be tolerated at any level,” he said.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed officials to strengthen traffic and parking arrangements in the fair area. He said heavy vehicles should be parked only at designated parking locations to prevent congestion and disruption on main roads and pedestrian routes.
Lal further reviewed essential facilities available in the fair area and instructed departments to maintain continuous monitoring throughout the fair. He stressed the need for close coordination among all departments and immediate action wherever required.
A large number of devotees are visiting Mata Shri Chintpurni during the Shravan Ashtami fair. The district administration is committed to providing them with a safe, convenient and well-organised environment, the Deputy Commissioner said.
