Renowned wildlife photographer and conservationist Dr. Prakash Badal, currently serving in the Forest Department of Himachal Pradesh, will be conferred with the “Professional Excellence Award – 2025” by Rotary Club Amritsar “Aastha.” This prestigious honor recognizes his outstanding contributions in the field of wildlife photography and conservation. The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 7:00 PM during the Rotary Club’s Charter Anniversary and Felicitation Function, to be held at Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar. Badal has been widely appreciated for his committed efforts towards wildlife conservation and public awareness. His photography has played a pivotal role in promoting ecological balance and biodiversity not only in Himachal Pradesh but across India. His bird photographs, in particular, have earned accolades at national and international platforms and have been showcased in several prestigious exhibitions. A native of Jubbal, Himachal Pradesh, Dr. Prakash Badal has documented a wide range of bird species from various regions of India through his lens. He has been the recipient of several national and international honors in the past. Dr. Ranvir Berry, president of Rotary Club Amritsar “Aastha,” stated that this award celebrates an individual’s exceptional work and sends a strong message to society about the importance of environmental conservation.
