The Tribune Edu Expo Shimla 2026 is being held on May 20 and 21, 2026, at the historic Ridge Maidan, Mall Road, Shimla. This two-day education and career guidance fair was inaugurated by Education Minister Rohit Thakur. The expo will run from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Education Minister Rohit Thakur said that such education expos prove helpful for children. Many renowned universities in the state are performing exceptionally well in the field of education. Today, our country holds a distinct identity in the world for its technology and modernity. In today’s times, educational institutions play a vital role in providing knowledge about which courses can provide better employment opportunities in the industry. In this digital and AI era, efforts are being made to provide children with a skill-based education.
He said that such expos provide in-depth knowledge about the courses available to children after school. He added that representatives from the country’s prestigious universities and educational institutions will provide information to students and parents about higher education, career options, and various professional courses at this Edu Expo. Counseling experts will also provide daily guidance to students regarding career choices.
On this occasion, students who scored 85 percent or more in grades 10 and 12 were honored at the Edu Expo. According to the organizers, this platform will provide students with an opportunity to determine their future, explore various educational opportunities, and interact directly with experts.
Many leading institutions including Chitkara University, Amity University Punjab, Chandigarh University, Shoolini University, CGC Landran, Aryans Group of Colleges, Bahra University, Shri Sukhmani Group of Institutions, Graphic Era University, ICFAI University and Maharishi Markandeshwar University are participating in the Edu Expo.

On this occasion, the Education Minister honored about 150 students who secured 85 percent or more marks in the recently declared class 10th and 12th results. These students included Garima, Anmol Thakur, Manvi, Bhanavi Sharma, Srishti Verma, Manvika Panwar, Rachel, Jhanvi, Manisha Kumari, Anjali, Saina, Smriti, Bhraneet Kaur, Vanshika, Ridhima Dogra, Aditi, Anjali, Apsara Chauhan, Shaysha, Sanvi Sood, Shivam Thakur, Avni Sharma and Payal.
